Questions

Is MZForge free?

Yes, completely. You don’t need an MZForge account.

Which Minecraft edition does it work with?

Minecraft Java Edition. Bedrock (consoles, phones) isn't supported.

Do my friends need to set up anything?

No. They just need Minecraft Java Edition and the address you send them.

Do I need to set up port forwarding?

Not on Paper or Purpur — MZForge connects Playit for you the first time you start. On Fabric and Vanilla you set up the public address yourself.

Which server software can I use?

Paper (recommended), Purpur, Fabric and Vanilla. Forge and NeoForge are not available yet.

Will MZForge ever delete my server?

No. A server you haven't opened for 30 days is moved to the Recycle Bin, so you can still get it back — and MZForge warns you first. Multi-Host servers are never cleaned up.
