Privacy

Short version: your worlds stay on your PCs, and there are no ads or tracking.

On your PC

Your servers, worlds and backups are saved in your Documents folder. They are not uploaded to MZForge.

What MZForge's online service keeps

  • Feedback you send from the app: your rating and message, plus the MZForge and Minecraft version. It may also be posted to the team's private Discord channel. Your world, logs and address are never included.
  • Multi-Host: the server's name, which PCs are linked (by PC name) and which one is hosting — not the world itself.
  • Your IP address: like any website, the service sees it. To stop spam it keeps rate-limit counters keyed by IP address.

Other services the app uses

  • Playit.gg gives your server its public address. You sign in on Playit's own page; MZForge never sees your password.
  • Direct Sync (Syncthing) moves Multi-Host worlds between your PCs, encrypted. If the PCs can't connect directly, it may pass through Syncthing's relays, which can't read it. Syncthing's own anonymous crash reports are on by default.
  • Minecraft downloads come from Mojang, Paper, Purpur, Fabric and Eclipse Temurin (Java). Plugins and mods come from Modrinth, and player face pictures from mc-heads.net.
  • Discord, Buy Me a Coffee and Ko-fi open in your browser only when you click them. MZForge never handles payment details.

This website

No cookies, no analytics and no ads. It only remembers your Light/Dark choice in your browser, and loads the Discord and tip links from the MZForge service.
